Manage eBooks with Adobe Digital Editions

 

Our eBooks are AdobeDRM protected. This is regulated by the publisher.

Please follow these simple steps to set up everything to download such DRM protected eBooks on your PC/Mac:

 

 

Create an account with Adobe

Before you download your first DRM-protected eBook, you have to create an account with Adobe. Click here and then click on "Create an Adobe Account".

 

Please fill out the form (the boxes marked with * are mandatory). After you have completed the registration, you can close the window. Please note, that this account is usually referred to as "AdobeID".

 

Should you already have an account with Adobe, please use that one and don't create a new one.

 

 

Download Adobe Digital Editions

 

Now you need to download the program "Adobe Digital Editions" (ADE) and link it to your AdobeID. Click here to download and install ADE.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After starting ADE, you will be prompted to enter your AdobeID.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Downloading eBooks

 

When everything is set up you're ready to download your first eBook.

 

• To download please log in to your account. ("My account" in the top right of the page)

 

• Click on "My downloads" and then "eBooks". Here you see all eBooks you have bought on books.ch.

 

 

 

Click "download" for one of the books and the normal download-window will pop up. The filename of the download is always "URLLink.acsm". You can either choose "open with.." (recommended!) and choose "AdobeDigitalEditions" for the program to open it with, or you can click "save as..." and save the file on your harddrive. In this case, you must now right-click the downloaded file and select "open with..." and choose ADE or you can drag/drop it into ADE.

 

 

 

 

ADE will now download the actual eBook for you and you can read it.

 

Please be aware that you can only read these DRM protected eBooks with ADE or readers that support this.
